Fun events at Dalton library
The Dalton branch of the Wayne County Public Library has the following programs and activities on the schedule:
Mystery at the Fair
Throughout the month of September, stop by the Dalton Library to solve a Wayne County Fair-themed puzzle box. Solve the clues to break into the box and figure out how the grand champion steer disappeared. Those who succeed will be entered into a prize drawing. This is for adults age 18 and up.
Family story times
There will be story times on Mondays, Sept. 11 through Nov. 13 at 10:15 a.m. and Wednesdays, Sept. 13 through Nov. 15 at 10:15 a.m. or 11 a.m. for children up to age 12. Registration is required.
Play-Doh Palooza
This event will take place Tuesday, Sept. 12 from 1-5 p.m. for children and their caregivers. Make butterflies, bugs and insects out of Play-Doh.
Take it, make it
There will be take it, make it crafts all day Mondays while supplies last. Make hedgehog magnets on Sept. 18 for children up to age 12.
Elephant Silhouettes
On Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m., this event is for children age 5-12 with registration required. In this Crayola Imagine Arts Academy, kids learn about elephants and the conservationists who are working to protect them while using a silhouette painting technique to create elephant and tree shadows on a canvas sunset background.
