The Tuscarawas County YMCA held its 22nd annual YMCA-Jack Marsh Memorial Golf Outing on Aug. 17 at Oak Shadows Golf Club in New Philadelphia. The outing is a major fundraiser for the Y’s annual campaign.

The goal was to raise $15,000 from the event. The Y was able to raise $17,065. All profits from the golf outing benefit the YMCA’s annual campaign, which provides direct financial assistance for membership and programs to local youth and families including preschool, summer day camp, after-school care, swim lessons, youth sports, and many more health and wellness programs for area youth and families in need.

“I am very grateful to the many businesses and individuals who sponsored the event, donated items, and brought teams to golf and have fun at the outing. We couldn’t make this fundraiser a success without the support of our community, YMCA members, staff and many volunteers,” said Jenny Dallas, executive assistant and outing coordinator.

Seventeen teams played in the outing this year.

For more information about the golf outing or to request information on becoming a sponsor for the Turkey Trot 5k in November, call the Tuscarawas County YMCA at 330-364-5511 or email Jenny@tuscymca.org.
