Goodwill to offer discounts at local retailer
Goodwill and Christopher & Banks, a national specialty retail company, have partnered for the Goodwill Giving Event, encouraging individuals to donate to their local Goodwill store in exchange for coupons that are valid at Christopher & Banks stores.
The Wooster Goodwill and the Orrville Goodwill will earn coupons worth $10, valid on purchases at any Christopher & Banks retail stores or via online at www.christopherandbanks.com.
“We are excited to partner with the national retailer, Christopher & Banks,” said Judy Delaney, CEO of Goodwill of Wayne & Holmes Counties. “We know that the retailer believes in doing good for others, and with the Goodwill Giving Event, shoppers can receive a discount on some great items while helping someone get back to work in our community.”
More than 87 percent of the collective revenue from the sale of goods in Goodwill stores is used to create employment placement, job training and educational opportunities for people.
Goodwill Industries of Wayne & Holmes Counties uses the revenue from the sale of goods to provide career-service opportunities for people in their communities. When consumers donate used items, they help people in their community gain the work skills they need to get ahead and care for their families.
“The Goodwill Giving Event and our collaboration with Goodwill is an opportunity for our company as well as our customers to make a positive impact in the lives of others,” said Keri Jones, CEO of Christopher & Banks. “Christopher & Banks always strives to be a good neighbor and invest in the success of the communities where we operate.”
