Help those around us turn back to God
Letter to the Editor,
God has been merciful! He has granted our nation another chance. We must not squander it. We must heed II Chronicles 7:14, which states, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (New International Version).
We must help those around us turn to Jesus Christ. This suffering world is crying out in wickedness and sin (see I John 5:19). Those who are hopeless, helpless and dying need a strong America to stand once again. They need Lady Liberty as a beacon of light in this world of darkness. We must help these people with the strength God so graciously provides us.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this Christmas, let us be thankful for what God has done. Let us say with King David of old in Psalm 144:15: “Happy are the people who are in such a state; happy are the people whose God is the LORD!”
Let us forsake sin and evil. We must turn back to God before it is too late. Christian, let us forsake all sin that so easily besets us (see Hebrews 12:1). Let us follow our God in 2025! Have a joyous Christmas, everyone!
