The Holmes County Historical Society will offer an outbound tour bus trip to the historic Massillon/Canton area on Saturday, Aug. 10. Seating is limited.

The trip will start in Millersburg with an 8:30 a.m. pick-up and travel to Massillon for a guided tour of Five Oaks, a large stone mansion operated by the Massillon Women’s Club.

Lunch will be on one’s own at the Top of the Viaduct restaurant. Then it’ll be off to Canton Palace Theater, where Jay Spencer, the theater organist, will provide a history of the theater, followed by a silent movie with organ music.

After the concert there will be time to shop in the Canton Arts District in its galleries and shops.

Completing the day will be dinner at Bender’s Tavern, one of the oldest restaurants in Canton.

The entire package is $110 per person. Call Margi Oller at 330-465-1393.
