December craft kit for teens
Pick up a themed kit that includes supplies to make a Christmas tree wall hanging at the Holmes Central Library or East Branch Library.
Christmas Ornament Craft Night
Children age 10-15 will create a Christmas ornament using oil, canning jar rings and paper at the Holmes Central Library on Monday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required.
Story times
For kids age 2-5 with an adult, there will be story times at the Killbuck Community Library on Tuesdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19 at 10:30 a.m. and at the East Branch Library on Wednesdays, Dec. 6 and 13 at 10:30 a.m.
Get Crafty
Join Kate Shumaker, OSU Extension services educator, to make a holiday craft for yourself or to give as a gift at the Holmes Central Library on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. Registration is required.
Growing Readers Story Time
Kids age 2-5 with an adult are invited to come for stories, songs, rhymes and more at the Holmes Central Library on Fridays, Dec. 8 and 15 at 10:30 a.m.
Little Learners Playgroup
Kids up to age 5 with an adult will engage in activities to promote reading and social skills at the Holmes Central Library on Fridays, Dec. 8 and 15 at 11 a.m. Snacks are provided.
Santa Paws to Read
Kids of all ages with an adult will visit with Mrs. Claus and read to a certified therapy dog from Caring Therapy Canines at the Holmes Central Library on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Book discussion for adults
The event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12 discussing “Christmas Bells” by Jennifer Chiaverini at the Holmes Central Library at 1 p.m. Books are available to borrow at the Central Library.
Grinchmas Family Program
Families can attend Grinch-themed STEAM activities and hear the new Grinch Christmas story at the Holmes Central Library on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Registration is required.
Family Movie Day
Come to the Holmes Central Library for multiple showings of Disney’s “Elemental” (rated PG) on the big screen on Thursday, Dec. 28 at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
