The Holmes County General Health District will reduce outreach immunization clinics beginning in September as it works on restructuring the services provided at outreach clinics.

Currently, the only service provided at outreach clinics is childhood immunizations. In early 2024 the health district will roll out a new clinic model that will include more services and referral sources. More information including the 2024 outreach clinic schedule will be released later this fall.

“It is the responsibility of the Holmes County General Health District to use available data and community feedback in order to deliver appropriate public health services,” health commissioner Michael Derr said. “Our community health assessment and declining childhood immunization rates show it is time to restructure our clinical-based services.”

Through the end of 2023, immunizations will still be offered by appointment every first Tuesday of each month from 1-4 p.m. at the Holmes County Health Department in Millersburg. Call 330-674-5035 to schedule an appointment.
