IncludeAbility, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with physical disabilities, fostering a sense of belonging within their communities and promoting inclusion in every facet of life, is holding its inaugural “I AM Worthy” campaign by holding an online auction fundraiser.

The auction began April 10 and will run through April 19 at 8 p.m. It can be accessed at https://givebutter.com/c/Include.

Among the items to be auctioned are passes to Country Fest; a night out in Wooster; a one-night stay at Kalahari; golf outings; artwork; a bundle from Canaan Meats; a family photo session; a signed Peyton Manning jersey; a gift certificate from Arukah Gifts; baskets from The Leaf restaurant, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Monsters and the Joyful Cafe; and more.

IncludeAbility strives to raise awareness in the community about the Emergency Evacuation Chairs for individuals with physically disabilities in multi-level buildings, partnering with Wayne County schools to help start the transition.

Funds raised also will provide support to grow its Lending Library of accessible equipment such as portable ramps, hiking wheelchairs, beach wheelchairs and more so individuals can have access to these items that insurance does not cover.

Money also will help IncludeAbility grow its all-inclusive health and well-being programs to help promote recreation for individuals with physical disabilities, who are at a much higher risk of dealing with preventable health issues such as type 2 diabetes, high BP, increased anxiety and depression. IncludeAbility wants to ensure those individuals have access to the tools and resources they need to increase overall health and well-being.

As a local, grassroots nonprofit organization, IncludeAbility is dedicated to the pursuit of an accessible world, striving to ensure people with disabilities are seamlessly integrated into all aspects of society.

IncludeAbility’s vision is to become a leader for innovative change by ensuring individuals with physical disabilities have access to equal opportunities in the following areas: well-being, emergency preparedness, healthcare, housing, recreation, employment, transportation and education.
