Mariola Italian opening May 24
Mike Mariola Restaurants' newest concept, Mariola Italian, will open its doors to the public on May 24 at 11 a.m. The restaurant located at 365 E. Liberty St. in Wooster will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
The menu will showcase Mariola-inspired family recipes including Italian-American favorites such as spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parmesan, and signature pizza pies. With parking behind the building, the 185-seat restaurant will feature a large outdoor patio for gatherings with family and friends. Mariola Italian also will offer a to-go option with online ordering, dedicated curbside spaces and a specific to-go entrance located on the east side of the building.
“Our family is excited and proud to make this important investment in Wooster," Mariola said. "We have worked carefully to create a casual dining experience that will be distinctly different than The City Square Steakhouse and the other great restaurants in our downtown. This project represents the largest investment in the history of our company, a project that has been three years in the making. We have assembled an amazing team of managers, and the restaurant will employ well over 125 team members."
Mariola Italian will use the opening as an opportunity to support local charity. The opening fundraiser programs will support OneEighty, a local organization dedicated to helping individuals overcome addiction and trauma and rebuild their lives.
Mariola Italian is located at the brand-new Liberty-Beall project, a two-story mixed-use building consisting of approximately 16,000 square feet, with Mariola Italian on the first floor and eight market-rate apartments on the second floor. This project is the centerpiece of the growing Liberty-Beall neighborhood, and along with other entertainment businesses, it provides a gateway between The College of Wooster and Wooster's historic public square.
