The Wayne County Health Department, in collaboration with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, will host its next monthly pop-up food pantry on Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the health department offices at 244 W. South St. in Wooster.

Individuals and families can receive food if their income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level ($30,120 per year for individuals and adding $10,760 per year for each additional family member). For example, a family of four whose annual household income is $62,400 or less would be eligible. This pantry will be drive-thru once again, so there will be no need to get out of your vehicles.

“The consistent attendance demonstrates the need in our community. We are very appreciative of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and their partnership to continue to serve many Wayne County people in need,” Wayne County Health Commissioner Nick Cascarelli said.

The Wayne County Health Department also is looking for volunteers to help with the pop-up pantries. Volunteers would need to be able to be there an hour before and a half-hour after the food pantry in addition to the actual pantry itself.

For more information or to volunteer, visit www.wayne-health.org or call 330-264-9590 ext. 207.
