NEW roundtable
The next Networking Empowers Women roundtable will be Thursday, Aug. 8 from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Orrville YMCA, 1801 Smucker Road, Orrville.
The guest speaker will be Brittany Eckstrom with the Wayne Center for the Arts, whose presentation is titled Leadership in Motion: Connecting Purpose and Passion Through Creativity.
Safety Council
The next meeting of the Orrville Area Safety Council will be Aug. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Life Building at Wayne College. The subject will be hazardous materials.
Chamber Coffee Connection
The next Chamber Coffee Connection will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 7:30-9 a.m. at Shady Lawn, 15028 Old Lincoln Way, Dalton.
Join the group for some coffee and networking before you begin your day.
Human resources roundtable
Transforming Team Communication, an SHRM CEU certified presentation, will be given by speaker Jesse Walker of the Intentional Leader.
The roundtable will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Jarrett Routing Center, 1444 N. Main St., Orrville.
Orrville Area Young Professionals
The Orrville Area Young Professionals will hold a mini-conference on Friday, Aug. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Orrville YMCA. Jesse Walker will present the program.
This event will be a deep dive into personal growth and team dynamics with Walker, GiANT Worldwide certified guide, leadership coach and consultant.
Through interactive workshops and discussions, Walker will guide participants on a journey of self-discovery, helping them understand communication styles and how they impact interactions with others. Walker also will lead the group through exercises aimed at clarifying goals and aspirations.
The schedule for the conference is as follows:
—Networking, coffee and pastries at 8:30 a.m.
—Welcome and networking activity at 9 a.m.
—Discovery of the 5 Voices at 9:20 a.m.
—Coffee break at 10:45 a.m.
—Group experience at 11 a.m.
—Networking lunch at 12:15 p.m.
—Event concludes at 1 p.m.
