Orrville Public Library earns 4-star rating
Orrville Public Library has received four stars from Library Journal’s national rating system. Current ratings are based on 2019 data, which includes library visits, circulation, program attendance, public internet computer usage, e-media circulation and Wi-Fi sessions.
Out of the 251 Ohio libraries that submitted data, Orrville Public Library was one of only 27 Ohio libraries to receive the award. This is the 14th year stars have been awarded to libraries, and nationwide, out of the 5,846 libraries that submitted data, only 261 libraries were honored with the award.
“We are very proud to be among those that received stars this year,” said Daphne Silchuk-Ashcraft, the library’s director. “It is a true honor to receive stars once again, rating our library service among the top libraries across the nation.
“The staff at Orrville Public Library recognizes that libraries are changing. We embrace the idea that library service needs to evolve with the various needs of our patrons. We are grateful for all the support we receive in our community and look forward to providing exceptional service into the future.”
