Remember Fredericksburg Elementary and help library
To raise funds for the Fredericksburg Community Library and to commemorate Fredericksburg Elementary, T-shirts with the school on the front are being sold through June 3.
Built in 1891 for $20,000, the school was home for primary through high school grades — Salt Creek Local High School — until 1953, when the Southeast Local School District was formed. Fredericksburg Elementary School is being razed in the next year, as all the schools in the district move to one campus in Apple Creek to form Waynedale Schools. The site of the old elementary will be home to a new fire station.
Shirts are $15 and $16 for XL or larger and can be ordered at Threadink.net. Payment must be made when you order, and shirts can be picked up at the library on July 1.
