The Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition recognized coalition coordinator Jodi Salvo for her new role with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Association of Ohio Board of Directors.

As a veteran member of the ADAPAO, Salvo has presented workshops at the ADAPAO Conference, participated in the 2016 ADAPAO Mentoring Project and served on work groups and committees furthering the work of the association.

In 2017 Salvo was recognized with the ADAPAO Advocate Award for her efforts in advancing ADAPAO's mission to employ the power of dialogue, networking and advocacy to amplify a unified voice for prevention.

"Jodi is an exceptional prevention professional and will bring valuable insight and skills to the board of directors," ADAPAO President Aimee Wade said. "We look forward to adding her voice to ADAPAO's leadership."

In Tuscarawas County as the leader of the ADC, Salvo utilizes her extensive experience through classroom education, youth-led prevention, legislation advocacy, community involvement and engagement, and more.

"The investment of ADAPAO in developing me as a prevention professional was a game-changer for my prevention work," Salvo said. "I am now at a place where I can and want to give back. I desire to invest in those newer to the field of prevention and to advance prevention in the state."

The new role will not affect Salvo’s current position with the ADC. She assumes a three-year term with the ADAPAO that ends June 30, 2022.
