Save and Serve Thrift Shop raises money for hospice
Save and Serve Thrift Shop raised more than $3,200 for Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare at a special benefit day on Sept. 30.
During the event, 100% of store sales were donated to support the organization’s work to relieve suffering, ease fears and provide companionship to those it serves in the area.
The donation is part of Save and Serve’s ongoing initiative to benefit the local community. Eric Raber, Save and Serve general manager, said Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare was a perfect fit to receive the funds as it shares Save and Serve’s belief in neighbors helping neighbors.
“One of the best things about our small community is the way we take care of one another,” Raber said. “We thank everyone who shops, donates and volunteers with us so that we can support organizations like this.”
Save and Serve is a nonprofit thrift store in Holmes County that supports the local and global relief, development and peace projects of the Mennonite Central Committee.
