Two local boys basketball players named All-Ohioans
Hiland’s Sammy Detweiler was one of two local boys basketball players to earn All-Ohio honors.
The boys basketball All-Ohio teams were recently announced by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association, and two locals were named to the teams.
In Div. III Garaway’s Alex Roden was selected to the special mention team. The senior averaged 11.9 points, helping the Pirates reach the East District title game.
In Div. IV Hiland’s Sammy Detweiler was a second-team pick. The junior averaged a team-high 17.3 points, leading the Hawks to the state tournament.
