Volleyball camps at Wooster High
The Wooster High volleyball camp will be held July 11-14 while Mock Tryouts will be held Aug. 1.
The Wooster High School volleyball program will conduct two camps for girls this summer, both to be held at the high school.
The Wooster volleyball camp will be held July 11-14 from noon to 2 p.m. each day for girls entering grades 1-8. The camp will focus on development of fundamentals and will expose the campers to game-like situations. Along with the learning of skills, there will be contests and prizes throughout the camp, which will be run by Wooster High players and coaches.
Campers will be split into groups based on age and abilities, and each will receive a camp T-shirt. The cost is $50, cash or check payable to Wooster High School. For more information email head coach Jen Snowbarger at wstr_jsnowbarger@woostercityschools.org.
On Aug. 1 the Mock Tryouts event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. for girls entering grades 7-8 who are planning to try out for the middle school volleyball teams. This is an opportunity to become more aware of the exact drills and the expectations that are going to be needed to make a team.
Mock Tryouts will be run by the high school and middle school coaches. The cost is $10, cash or check payable to Wooster High School. For more information email Snowbarger.
