Wayne Trails announced a 12-stop scavenger hunt that will take place Saturday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event will utilize the Wooster bike paths and feature 12 stops with stations where participants either take a picture of an object or answer some Wooster-related trivia questions.

“The event will practice COVID-19 safety,” committee member Jenn Kiper said. “Everything is done with a mobile phone. There is nothing to touch or pick up.”

Participation in the entire event includes covering a span of 6 miles throughout the day. It will be up to each participant to decide their level of involvement.

Guidance will be provided to those wishing to cover fewer miles. Participants may elect to run, walk or ride a bike (with a helmet).

Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Soccer Complex (corner of Oldman Road and Burbank Road in Wooster). Entrants will receive a T-shirt, packet and map of the course.

The stations will be located along the existing bike path and may include stops at any of the following locations: Wooster Safety Service Center, Oak Hill Park, Kinney/Soccer Complex Trail, Oaks Church (Old Layton Elementary School), Mike Baus DDS and The College of Wooster.

Registration is $5 for individuals (includes a T-shirt) and $10 for a family (includes a T-shirt to all family members). Register online at www.Woosteroh.com/recreation.
