West Holmes earns top OCC girls hoops honors
The Ohio Cardinal Conference released its all-conference boys and girls basketball teams, and West Holmes had several players named to the teams.
Girls basketball
Lady Knights senior Ella McMillen was named Player of the Year while WH’s Lindsy Snyder and Mansfield Senior’s David Phillips were selected co-Coaches of the Year.
West Holmes and Mansfield split the OCC title with 12-2 records.
WH’s Keegan Uhl was a first-team pick while Allie McMillen earned second-team honors.
Chloe Patten and Aveona Yoder were both named to the honorable mention team for the Lady Knights.
Boys basketball
WH’s Mason Wolfe and Zander Shultz earned honorable mention accolades.
New Philadelphia swept the top honors as senior Carter Vandall was picked POY and Zach Ross tabbed COY. The Quakers and Lexington split the OCC title with 12-2 records.
