The 67th annual used book sale sponsored by the American Association of University Women’s Wooster chapter and the Kiwanis Club of Wooster is coming up this month.

The book sale, held at Buss Hall at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, will begin Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 4-8 p.m. with the early bird sale, a $10 admission fee. The sale will continue with free admission Wednesday, Sept. 25 through Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with everything half price on Friday. The final sale day will be Saturday, Sept. 28, Bag Day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. ($5 buys a full bag of books).

The sale is one of the largest of its kind in Ohio, with more than 45,000 books. The selection of fiction books includes mysteries, inspirational, romance, science fiction, thrillers and popular fiction. Informational books cover topics as varied as crafts, cookbooks, history, science and sports. There also is always a large vintage/collectible section filled with rare titles. Children and teens have their own area, with books ranging from picture books for the youngest through the newest teen titles. Prices for the majority of the books in the sale range from $1-$6.

Proceeds from the sale benefit youth projects in the community and provide scholarships for local women whose education has been interrupted.
