The National Day of Prayer and Repentance that is set to take place at National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. will see a large number of people in attendance, but many others will be unable to attend.

America’s Greatest Awakening Network has created a streaming platform that will provide some insight into what is taking place during the day of prayer and allow countless others an avenue to experience the event in a very personal and unique way.

While a large contingency of people will go by bus to the event from this area, many people will not be able to attend the event. Realizing that, the event organizers of the National Day of Prayer and Repentance trip have created an opportunity for those wishing to experience the event here at home.

“We know everyone can’t go on the trip, but we felt it was important to provide an avenue for people to reach out in prayer from their homes or churches,” event founder John Miller said.

That idea evolved into the website at www.livefromthereturn.com, a site built by AGA Network that will allow people to livestream the event and will provide a short video on the proceedings. In addition, AGA Network will have reporters on the grounds in Washington, D.C. at the National Mall to provide live updates and interview people on the grounds, giving those viewing the proceedings through the app a chance to hear from those who are attending the event.

Rob Coburn, founder of AGA Network, said presenting a feet-on-the-ground report of what is taking place will give the people who aren’t able to attend a chance to experience the National Day of Prayer in a unique, timely and valuable way.

“Our nation is in the midst of a lot of turmoil and transition, and men have led us to this point,” Coburn said. “It is time for us to turn to God to reform our nation. Our church needs to be in prayer for God to pour out his revival on our nation and our world.”

The AGA crew will be on the grounds interviewing people, sharing their perspective of the event.

Coburn, who also is the lead pastor at The Summit Church in Dover, said joining the live simulcast and receiving the hourly updates is simple. The app is available for all Apple and Droid devices and can be downloaded for free on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and more.

A search for America’s Great Awakening in the App Store will lead people to the app, which they can download and receive all of the updates, or visit www.livefromthereturn.com for the live simulcast.

Coburn said one thing the app will provide is notifications on when the live updates will take place.

“We may go live at any given moment, even before the event officially begins, and we want to be able to let people know exactly when that is,” Coburn said. “We hear so much from the news media and public officials, but one thing people want to hear are the voices from people like a grandma or a 14-year-old boy who made the journey to pray. We want to give the little people a voice, and that allows those listening or watching through the app a chance to experience what is truly taking place on the ground at the event.”
