On Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., area residents of all ages are welcome to attend the Holiday Hoopla show at the Tuscora Park indoor pavilion. Set to benefit Share-A-Christmas (which provides food and toys for needy area families), the Holiday Hoopla show is free to the public and will feature items for sale from more than 11 different vendors, prizes, manicures, massages, a food stand, stuffed animal-making workshops and even free pictures with Santa Claus. Many services will be available for nominal prices at the event. The Buckeye Career Center Cosmetology Department will provide hair styling, curling and braiding, as well as mini manicures, hand massages and neck and shoulder massages. The students are donating their time and will collect goodwill offerings for Share-A-Christmas. Kids will be able to get their faces painted and participate in a Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop for a nominal charge. Kids can also receive balloon animals and a free picture with Santa Claus. Adults can enjoy free food samples from Tastefully Simple and Pampered Chef. The show will also include items for sale from Affordable Outdoor Games, Avon, Jewels by Park Lane, Longaberger, Mary Kay, Princess House and Tupperware. Those who attend the Holiday Hoopla show will have the opportunity to win a $50 gift certificate that can be used with any of the vendors, and several raffle items can also be won. Those who donate a nonperishable food item at the event will receive one extra chance to win prizes. “This is a great opportunity to get pampered, purchase quality items for everyone on your Christmas list at discounted prices, and support Share-A-Christmas at the same time,” explained Vernae Blackwell, of Dover, a Home & Garden Party and Tastefully Simple independent consultant and co-organizer of the event. “We hope that everyone will come out to support this event so that we can help as many needy families as possible this holiday season.” For more information about the Holiday Hoopla benefit show at Tuscora Park, call 330-878-6030.
