If you have a favorite series, movie or person, you may be surprised to learn there is a cookbook reflecting that.

Adults are invited to explore their interest and prepare a recipe or two from the cookbook to share with others at Orrville Public Library’s October Cookbook Club. The club will meet Monday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. No registration is necessary. Call the information desk at 330-683-1065.

October Book Club

There is still time to pick up “The Maid” by Nita Prose and come to Orrville Public Library’s October Book Club meeting. Hotel maids see a lot, but Molly Gray was certainly surprised to find a wealthy man dead in his bed and his hotel room in disarray. She soon finds herself as the lead suspect in the investigation. Will she and some new-found friends be able to untangle what really happened before it’s too late?

Check out a copy of the book and plan to come to the Book Club on Thursday, Oct. 10 to share your thoughts. Come to either the 10 a.m. or the 6:30 p.m. gathering. No registration is needed.

Bits & Bytes: Cutting the Cord

Are you ready to cut the cable TV cord but don’t know where to start? Streaming has grown in popularity and can be very affordable. In Orrville Public Library’s latest Bits & Bytes session, staff will partner with staff from Massillon Public Library to help attendees learn about some of the services and hardware needed to cut the cord.

This free program will be held in the lower-level meeting room beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Registration is required and can be completed by clicking the event on the library website calendar at www.orrville.lib.oh.us or by calling the information desk.

Family Cookbook Club

Families with kids in third grade through sixth grade are invited to cook together for Orrville Public Library’s Family Cookbook Club on Thursday, Oct. 17. Prepare a recipe or two from Tiffany Dahle’s “The Totally Awesome Ultimate Kid’s Cookbook” and join at 6 p.m. to share your dishes, potluck style, with others.

Register all people who will attend by clicking the event on the library website calendar or by calling the children’s department.
