HDM’s Girls’ Night Out offers a cool night out on the town
Historic Downtown Millersburg’s Girls’ Night Out on Saturday, Feb. 22 will offer a good time for women young and old to spend time together and share a cup of coffee or dinner.
“If you hear any noise, it ain’t the boys; it’s ladies’ night.
“Oh yes, it’s ladies’ night, and the feeling’s right. Oh yes, it’s ladies night, oh what a night.”
That’s right, Kool & the Gang nailed it with that classic tune from 1979, and on Saturday, Feb. 22, ladies will have their night when Historic Downtown Millersburg offers Girls’ Night Out from 1-7 p.m.
According to Taylor Sigler, HDM executive director, this event has become one of Millersburg’s favorites, filled with plenty of activities for the girls to enjoy.
“We’re looking forward to a fantastic time out on the town in HDM,” Sigler said. “Our merchants look forward to seeing all of the girls exploring the downtown area. It’s become one of our most popular and anticipated events, and the ladies love it.”
Sigler said the evening provides a wonderful time for women to get out and enjoy a night on the town, celebrating a time of shopping, dining and simply spending time together.
While the event is slated to take place from 1-7 p.m., Sigler said many of the participants carry on the festivities beyond that time with the HDM nightlife including live music at McKelvey’s and Sunny Slope or dining at any of HDM’s fine dining establishments.
“For many the fun doesn’t stop just because the drawing does,” Sigler said.
Tickets are available for $10 and may be purchased online or may be purchased the day of the event.
With the purchase comes an invitation to an afternoon and evening filled with plenty of exclusive activities like shopping, dining, entertainment and especially some time devoted to a day with the girls.
Each ticket provides each participant with a punch card to each participating business in Girls’ Night Out. In addition, Owens Real Estate Firm and HDM have teamed up to present each ticket buyer with a gift bag.
According to Sigler, that includes special pricing each business’ sales and special activities. Once the punch cards have been completed, participants are invited to bring their cards back to the Chamber of Commerce, where they can enter to win a Michael Kors Taryn large leather tote bag, a $258 value, which is the grand prize, or some other prize donations from area businesses.
Sigler said if people are short on time, they can turn in their partially completed punch cards and pay an additional $5 to be entered into the drawing.
“And if someone wants additional opportunity to win the grand prize, they can purchase additional tickets for just $10,” Sigler said.
Ladies, it’s time to take Cool & the Gang’s advice and treat yourselves to an entertaining night out on the town.
Tickets may be purchased the day of the event at the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce or at Historic Downtown Millersburg.
