Local glass artist shines in Berlin

The Village Gift Barn in Berlin recently provided customers with a unique opportunity. Local artisan Trisha Shamp thrilled the crowds with her beautiful handmade fused glass beads and her inspiring personality. “Truly, the best part of the experience was actually meeting Trisha and learning more about her Expression Beads,” commented Naomi Gingerich, boutique manager. “Knowing the person who creates the beads gives a special meaning to each bead.” While on vacation with her family, Shamp visited a small shop in the Outer Banks and became enchanted with the process of bead making. Wendy Stowe-Sisler, the shop’s owner, became her mentor, and taught her the art. Since then she has perfected her skill. Creating one-of-a-kind jewelry is now her passion.
