Orrville Area United Way launches its 2024 campaign
Orrville Area United Way officially launched its 2024 campaign on Aug. 16, emphasizing its dedication to partner with local nonprofits, donors and volunteers to identify and address the community’s most pressing needs. Building on its “CommUNITY” theme, OAUW is committed to strengthening partnerships and supporting programs that create positive and lasting impact in the community.
At the event community volunteers and the 12 Orrville Area United Way partner agencies, covering 18 programs, came together at Schmid Hall to reaffirm their shared goals. Dawn Cazzolli, executive director, and Michele Wilson, community campaign coordinator, spoke to attendees during a picnic lunch.
Orrville Area United Way has been a supporter of Eastern Wayne County for over 65 years, contributing over $17.5 million to the region. In 2022 more than 10,000 individuals in Dalton, Marshallville and Orrville benefited from OAUW community investments. Orrville Area United Way focuses funding in the impact areas of nurturing children and youth, helping in hard times, promoting health and wellness, and developing life skills.
Additionally, Orrville Area United Way invests in seven Percy Programs, direct service programs that fill gaps.
For the 2024 campaign, a goal has been set to raise $675,000 through contributions from workplace campaigns, individuals and corporations.
The campaign will run until Nov. 1. For more information or to donate, visit www.orrvilleareaunitedway.org or the OAUW office at 135 N. Main St. in Orrville. For inquiries email or call Michele Wilson at michele.wilson@oauw.org or 330-683-8181.
