Buckeye Book Award
Students K-12 are invited to stop by Orrville Public Library beginning Oct. 1 to check out the display for the Buckeye Book Awards.
Established in 1981, this award is student-led. Students nominate their favorite books that have been published within the last two years. The top five nominated books in four different grade ranges are then eligible for other students to vote on. Participants are encouraged to read the nominated books in their grade range (K-2, third grade through fifth grade, sixth grade through eighth grade, and teen) and then vote for their favorite. Ballots are available at the library. Voting is available Oct. 1 through Nov. 8. Library staff will tally the votes and submit them to the Buckeye Book Award website.
For more information call the children’s department.
