Teeing it up for 58:12 Global
What’s better than a great day of golf? How about a great day of golf coupled with a meaningful purpose.
Local nonprofit organization 58:12 Global will tee it up on the golf course, not once but twice in the coming days this summer.
The first four-person scramble event will take place Saturday, June 24 at Black Gold Golf Club in Sugarcreek while the second opportunity to support the mission will be Saturday, Aug. 5 at Marysville Golf Club in Marysville.
Prizes for both outings include $500 for first place, $300 for second place and a 50/50 skins pot for $40 per team. Mulligans will be available at $60 per team, one mulligan per person. Each event also will feature a 50/50 drawing and prizes for long drive, closest to the pin and a putting challenge.
In addition, 58:12 will give away a Yeti cooler filled with meat at both outings.
The Black Gold scramble is a four-person scramble, with the entry fee at $75 per person or $300 per team. The outing will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., and lunch and snacks will be provided.
Those interested in either outing can register a team by calling or texting Ron Detweiler at 330-201-1932. Participants are asked to text their name and three other participants who will golf, as well as a good phone number to reach with questions.
