United Way WH holds annual meeting
The United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties Board of Directors held its annual meeting on April 21 at Certified Angus Beef Culinary Center in Wooster.
Board members Ron Schlegel of Holmes County and Lorna Edmondson from Dometic Corporation were recognized for their service. In addition, two new members of the board were accepted to serve: Clay Matthew of Wooster Hydrostatics and Kerri Manley-Still of Main Street Wooster.
In 2022 UWWH launched the Just, Love campaign. It was announced the campaign would run for the next several years.
The board honored organizations and people who showed love in multiple ways. Don Noble of United Titanium was recognized as the 2022 Ambassador of the Year, having completed a workplace campaign resulting in gifts adding up to over $100,000.
The late Stanley Gault and the late Stanley Welty, Jr. were known for their legacy of philanthropy. In honor of their overall accomplishments and generosity to the community, UWWH awards one organization the Stanleys Cup Award annually. Robert Dodaro presented the award to the family and employees of Seaman Corp, who displayed leadership and were always willing to help financially and with volunteers. Jason Seaman and several employees were present to accept the award.

—Employee Per Capita Awards: Commercial and Savings Bank, United Titanium, and Wooster Hydrostatics.
—Corporate Per Capita Awards: Albright Welding Supply Company, United Titanium and Seaman Corporation.
—100% Participation by a Company Award: Wooster Hydrostatics and Whitaker Myers-Group.
—100% Participation by a Nonprofit Partner Award: Anazao Community Partners, Catholic Charities, NAMI, OHuddle, Wayne County Children’s Advocacy Center and Viola Startzman Clinic.
Highlights of 2022 were celebrated at the meeting: reaching 100% of the $1.65 million goal and obtaining 552 new donors and 47 new corporate donors.
