This year’s AAUW and Kiwanis Used Book Sale will be the 67th year for the event. It is 100% operated by volunteers and is considered one of the largest used book sales in Ohio. Donations are accepted every Saturday throughout the year with the sale beginning Sept. 24.

“Last year’s event was a great sale with record proceeds supporting youth programs and scholarships for women whose education has been interrupted,” said Don Ackerman, spokesperson for the sale. “This year book donations are running a bit lower, probably due to the move of our processing operation to a new facility.”

The new facility is located next to the Zion Lutheran Church at 301 N. Market St. in Wooster. The facility is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. The donation center is located in the rear of the parking lot next to the church. Large drop-offs such as moving or estate clearances can be made by appointment. Call or text 330-439-2093 to arrange a time to drop off large donations or to arrange a pickup for large quantities of boxed books.

This year’s sale is scheduled for Sept. 24-28 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds Home Economics Building (Buss Hall), 199 Vanover St., Wooster. For more information visit www.woosterkiwanis.org, email WoosterKiwanis@gmail.com or call/text 330-439-2093.
