Walnut Hills open houses scheduled for April, May
Assisted living rooms and suites with views of the Walnut Creek countryside are one of the options visitors can see at upcoming open houses at Walnut Hills Retirement Community.
Walnut Hills Retirement Community in Walnut Creek will offer several opportunities for individuals to see living options in assisted living at open houses in April and May.
Walnut Hills will host open houses on Thursdays, April 18 and 25 and May 2 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We are pleased to invite the community to stop in to see our assisted living options and get a feel for our environment and what living at Walnut Hills is all about,” said Teresa Yoder, director of assisted living at Walnut Hills. “The upcoming open houses are a great opportunity to see the rooms and suites and unique amenities, as well as to meet our outstanding team of caregivers.”
Assisted living is an integral part of the continuum of care at Walnut Hills, which was recently recognized by Newsweekas an America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Community.
“Walnut Hills began offering assisted living in 1976,” Yoder said. “With almost five decades of providing assisted living care and services to the community, our team is experienced and caring and strives to meet the individual needs of each resident with compassion and understanding.”
Individuals who live at Walnut Hills Assisted Living are independent and choose their services based on their needs and wants. Services available include meals, housekeeping, laundry, and assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, medication administration and treatments.
Walnut Hills Assisted Living offers an onsite fitness room, library, café and views of the Walnut Creek countryside from the balcony. A full-time life enrichment director and volunteers provide a variety of social, exercise, educational and spiritual programs. Respite care also is available for caregivers.
“Since Walnut Hills is a continuing care campus, assisted living residents can access additional care and services here on our campus from team members they know and trust,” Yoder said. “If a resident has a change in health and needs skilled nursing care or therapy services, they can get that right here.
“Our team takes care of all of the necessities like meals, medications, laundry and maintenance, so our residents can spend time with friends, participate in life enrichment activities, or relax in their room or suite. Because we are taking care of all of those things, family members can experience peace knowing their loved one is in good hands.”
Anyone interested in seeing the assisted living option at Walnut Hills can stop in from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on one of the Thursdays through May 9. Walnut Hills team members will be available to answer questions.
