The Wayne County Council on Aging’s Wayne County Senior Forum, set for Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Greystone Event Center in Wooster, is a free event open to those age 55 and older. The day includes breakfast, lunch, vendors, speakers on Medicaid reform, information on recent scams targeting senior citizens and bingo.

                        

The Wayne County Council on Aging announced the 2022 Wayne County Senior Forum is set for Tuesday, Oct. 18 after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. The event will be held at Greystone Event Center in Wooster and is a free event open to those age 55 and older.

The Senior Forum is a day for individuals in any county to gather together for fellowship, learning and fun. The day includes breakfast, lunch, vendors, speakers on Medicaid reform, information on recent scams targeting senior citizens and bingo. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m., and the event will conclude around 1:30 p.m.

If interested in attending, registration is required. To register, call Wayne Holmes Information Referral Exchange at 330-263-6363. The RSVP deadline is Monday, Oct. 3. Space is limited.

The schedule for the day includes the following:

—7:30 a.m., doors open and breakfast served immediately.

—9:15 a.m., Francine Chuchanis, speaker on Medicare reform.

—10 a.m., Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance.

—10:45 a.m., keynote speaker Kelly Tremaine from the Better Business Bureau on recent scams.

—11:30 a.m., lunch.

—12:30 p.m., bingo.

The Greystone Event Center is located at 50 Riffel Road in Wooster.
