Wreaths and More Extravaganza to be held at the Trainmaster Inn
The Twin City Hospital Employee Auxiliary will host its 11th annual Wreaths and More Extravaganza starting Tuesday, Nov. 17. The event will return to the beautifully renovated Trainmaster Inn at 408 Grant Street in Dennison. Donated wreaths, various holiday decorations and gift baskets will be on display Tuesday through Friday, Nov. 20, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Adult admission to the event is $2 and provides unlimited entry to the Wreaths and More Extravaganza throughout the week; children may attend the event at no cost. Those wishing to purchase a wreath or decoration may do so by placing silent bids throughout the event.View the beautiful decorations, and enjoy holiday cookies and punch while taking in the cozy, charming atmosphere of a Victorian Christmas at the Trainmaster Inn.
The past several years of the event have featured unique and original pieces such as a conductor’s hat with greenery including passes to the Dennison Depot’s Polar Express, a lovely antique wooden toboggan sled, a decorated weathered windowpane and various other sport and collector’s themed decorations and wreaths. There have also been beautiful centerpieces with greenery, pine and hurricane candles.
The Wreaths and More Extravaganza is an opportunity to tour the first floor of the inn. “The Trainmaster Inn continues to be the perfect showcase for our fundraiser,” commented Tiffany Poland, chairperson for the Wreaths and More Extravaganza and employee auxiliary member. “The bed and breakfast is fully decorated for the Christmas season and is truly a sight to see. It is well worth the $2 admission to see the inn, not to mention the added bonus of our event.”
“The community continues to show their support of the hospital with decorations they donate to this event; our employees show their support and excitement by donating decorations, other needed items and their time to this event,” stated Marge Jentes, CEO, Twin City Hospital. “This is a wonderful fundraiser for our employee auxiliary and a fun event for our community.”
