Summary: Want to share your feelings about being part of Josh Krajcik’s rise to stardom with Wooster’s favorite son himself? There are now two ways you can do just that. It seems like everyone in Wooster fell under the spell of the “Krajcik Magic” as Wooster’s native son advanced to the finals of the hit reality TV show “The X Factor”. Now community members have two opportunities to express what sharing Josh Krajcik’s meteoric rise to stardom means to them with the man who made it all possible. The Wayne County Convention and Visitors Bureau is currently in the process of assembling a scrapbook for Krajcik and his family filled with pages made by Josh’s fans. “The Bureau felt this was a unique way of letting Josh’s family know exactly how much we appreciated being part of his X Factor experience,” said Wayne County Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Marty Starkey. Members of the community are invited to prepare 8½” X 11” scrapbook pages for inclusion in the scrapbook. According to Starkey, two sided pages are encouraged. Starkey also noted that any decorations included on the scrapbook page must be flat so the page will fit into a clear sleeve. “We suggest short letters explaining how Josh’s music affects you, how many times you voted, pictures of you at Josh events, short stories of some of the ways you helped to promote Josh to others, etc.” said Starkey adding “be creative - show the passion you just spent the last few weeks displaying for Josh.” “Most importantly, make sure to include your name on the page,” Starkey added. Starkey also noted that scrapbook pages containing “offensive remarks” or remarks “bashing other contestants or the show” will not be included in the final scrapbook. Finished pages should be dropped off to the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s office on the first floor of the Wayne County Administration Building or mailed to The Wayne County Convention and Visitors Bureau, 428 W. Liberty St., Wooster, OH 44691 no later than Jan. 31. For those who want to send a private letter to Krajcik, the City of Wooster has the answer. The familiar Santa’s Mailbox that has been a fixture next to the gazebo on Public Square in downtown Wooster throughout the holiday season has undergone a makeover of sorts. Officials from the City of Wooster Parks and Recreation Department recently covered the box in purple fabric and decorated it with photographs of Krajcik and words of support for Wooster’s hometown hero. According to city officials members of the community can drop a letter to Krajcik in the specially marked box – no postage required. The box will be periodically emptied and its contents boxed up and delivered to Krajcik. “The mailbox will stay up as long as there are still letters being sent or until it’s time for Santa’s Mailbox to roll back around,” a notice on the City of Wooster Face Book page states.
