Summary: The Wooster High School football team started their season strong with an impressive 47-20 win over the Akron Garfield Golden Rams during their season opener on August 26 at Follis Field.
The Wooster High School Generals kicked off the 2011 football season under the Friday night lights on August 26.
The capacity crowd on hand at Follis Field saw the Generals score an impressive 47 to 20 victory over the Akron Garfield Golden Rams.
Before the game senior athletes involved in fall sports and their parents were recognized for their dedication and support of athletic programs at Wooster High School.
During halftime festivities the Wooster High School Marching Band presented a nautical themed halftime show entitled On the High Seas which featured music from the movie blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean and theme songs from the hit TV shows Sponge Bob Square Pants and The Love Boat.
After traveling to Wadsworth for a contest on September 2, the Generals return to the friendly confines of Follis Field to take on the Orangemen of Akron Ellet High School on September 9.
