Summary: Polls in Wayne County will remain open until 7:30 p.m. this evening for voters to cast their votes in the fall 2011 general election. With voter turnout expected to be in excess of 50 percent, voters throughout Wayne County are heading to the polls today to have their voices heard at the ballot box on Election Day 2011. Polls will remain open until 7:30 p.m. this evening for registered voters to cast their ballots. As a reminder, in order to cast a ballot voters are required to bring identification to the polls. According to the Wayne County Board of Elections acceptable forms of ID include a current, valid photo ID (such as an Ohio drivers license, state ID or government ID), a military ID or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document showing the voter’s name and current address. Voters who are unsure as to the location of their polling place can visit the Wayne County Board of Elections web site at www.votewayne.org, where they will find detailed maps of Wayne County and the cities of Orrville and Wooster showing the precinct numbers. A list of the dozens of precincts that make up Wayne County and the voting location for each precinct complete with a MapQuest link with driving directions to each location can also be found on the web site.
