The photographic talents of the members of the Wooster Camera Club were on display at the Wooster Community Center when the organization held its final exhibition of 2011.
From the simple elegance of a black and white photograph to the vivid color of a trio of sunflowers and from scenes of a clown painting the face of a child to a deserted beach, the 31 works on display depicted scenes from around the world and right here on our own back yard.
The purpose of the Wooster Camera Club is to stimulate greater interest in photography and to provide leadership and activities whereby members can improve their photographic knowledge, skill, techniques and appreciation.
Throughout the year the club conducts field trips and holds monthly meetings where members can hone their photography skills. The organization also provides four opportunities each year for club members of exhibit their work.
Memberships in the Wooster Camera Club are available for $20 per year for an individual and $35 per year for families.
Club meetings are held on the first Monday of the month from September through June at 7:00p.m. in Wesley Hall of the Wooster United Methodist Church on the corner of North Market and East Larwill Streets.
The clubs next meeting is scheduled for January 3 when speaker Heidi Weller of BoLo Photography in Ashland, Ohio discusses the question I Have Shot My Photos, Now What Do I Do?
