SUMMARY: Candidates and issues on all partisan ballots for primary Early voting at the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections will begin April 1. The board of elections (BOE) will observe the schedule set by the Ohio Secretary of State, Tuscarawas BOE deputy director Sarah Kneuss said. Anyone who wants to vote in the May 6 primary election must register by April 7, if they have not already done so. Kneuss said early voters can expect to be in out quickly. “There is usually no wait,” Kneuss said. “There are no local contested races, so we don’t anticipate much interest.” Voters will need to present their driver’s license or the last four digits of their social security number, along with date of birth, name and address, when voting early. ID must be brought to the polls May 6. Early voting hours will be as follows: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 1 through April 4; 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., April 7; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., April 8 through May 2; 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 3. Going into the primary, Kneuss stressed the need for voters to keep their information current. A change in voter information, such as address, must be made prior to April 7 to vote in the primary. On election day, voters in precinct 68 (Mineral City) and precinct 70 (Sandy Township west) will again vote at the Tusky Valley primary school.
