A Killbuck man was sentenced to jail time Thursday Aug. 4 on drug trafficking charges. Jeremy M. Wolfe, 22, 165 S. Water St., was sentenced by Holmes County Common Pleas Judge Robert D. Rinfret to 180 days in jail. Wolfe was accepted to the Stark Regional Community Corrections Center for residential treatment. However, Rinfret said he opted for jail time with work release so Wolfe can keep his job. The charges stem from three drug buys coordinated by the Holmes County Sheriff’s office Jan. 3, Jan. 4 and Jan. 18 using a confidential informant. The three sales totaled $70. Rinfret further fined Wolfe $500 and ordered him to reimburse the sheriff’s office for the $70 buy money. Also Thursday, Rinfret agreed to continue sentencing for Kimberly Jackson, 40, 5671 state Route 83, Millersburg. Jackson was up for sentencing on drug charges stemming from Oct. 18, 2010. However, she is currently primary caregiver for her husband, who experienced a health emergency last month and continues to need care. In agreeing to the continuance, Rinfret ordered Jackson to report weekly to adult probation and be subjected to random drug screenings. The sentencing date has not been scheduled but is expected to take place in early September, Rinfret said.
