Summary: Alpine Structures has served the region since 1981. Specializing in storage barns, sheds, garages and chicken coops, Alpine Structures allows the customer to choose from a pre-made structure or one custom built on your property. Choices are endless and Alpine Structures can meet your needs with quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. Moses Miller was already in the construction business when he saw a demand for storage barns was increasing. Winter was typically a slow time of year for the roofing and siding business so Miller and his crew spent that time building storage barns for customers in the area. Alpine Structures was born in 1981 and has been striving to meet the growing needs of customers in the region and beyond. Using only the best techniques and materials available, Alpine Structures is the premier source for storage barns, sheds, playhouses, cabins, garages and even chicken coops. Alpine Structures has built hundreds of the classic “little red barns” since 1981, but ordinary wasn’t enough for owner Moses Miller. He wanted to give more to his customers. Alpine Structures has grown from a small shop in the Alpine area to a sprawling display at their current location one and a half miles west of Winesburg on Rt. 62 with a huge selection of buildings for customers to view. “Alpine Structures is always looking for ways to better meet customers’ needs,” said Miller. “We were the first company in Holmes County to construct buildings on the customer’s site, eliminating access problems and size limitations.” With everything from a cute playhouse to a big loft barn on the lot, customers can tour the buildings to choose the right style and size. Even the charming A-frame cabin overlooking a picturesque valley looks ready for a vacationing family. “Whether it’s a small storage building, a cabin, a loft barn or a garage, customers can come in here and find what they need,” said manager Javan Miller. “The bottom line is we try to get the customer value for their dollar.” Superior workmanship is the key to the long lasting structures built by skilled craftsmen that set Alpine Structures apart from others. From the framing to the flooring, the roofing and the siding, Alpine Structures stands behind their quality with a warranty that makes the customer feel good about their investment. When the quality of plywood decreased, Alpine Structures began using the stronger, more reliable OSB for roof sheathing. All buildings come with a standard drip edge to prevent water damage. For Miller, good design isn’t just about looks. “Not all buildings are created equal,” he said. “We have learned what products assure structural integrity and increase our customers’ property values.” An extra horizontal wall brace, and metal truss connectors are details of superior construction that make for a longer lasting structure. The storage barn has come a long way since 1981 and can be so much more than just a place to store extra stuff. The customer has choices at Alpine Structures. With prebuilt and custom built structures, there is a solution for storage needs, making wishes come true with a playhouse, a gardener’s dream of a stand-alone shed complete with window boxes and a potters bench or chicken coop for the homestead. An Alpine Structure could be a quiet get-away for an artist or a musician, a workshop for the woodworker or crafter or a place to conduct a home business. Customers can decide on size, siding in vinyl or wood, number of windows, doors and their sizes, whether to add a cupola or a weather vane, shutters, a porch or a deck. All barns come with a lock and key for added security. Alpine Structures sells storage sheds and much more through their retail lot in Holmes County Ohio plus through a dealer network covering Cleveland, Columbus, Akron, Youngstown, Mansfield and other areas of Ohio. They also build in parts of West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Alpine Structures is open Monday-Friday 7-5pm and Saturday from 9-2pm during the summer months.
