The words, ‘love me back to life’ have great meaning for authors Missy Horsfall and Susan Stevens as well Circle of Friends Worship Team member, Dawn Yoder. Horsfall and Stevens used “Love Me Back to Life” as the title of their recently published novel and the worship companion album featuring Yoder is also entitled, “Love Me Back to Life”. So it only seems fitting that “Love Me Back to Life” would also be the title of the upcoming women’s event sponsored by Circle of Friends. Circle of Friends’, Lisa Troyer said the theme and the words mean more than they say. “The themes therein tell the story of how our brokenness and hurt causes ‘lifelessness’ but through the redeeming power of Jesus Christ, He can truly breath life back into broken hearts,” Troyer explained. “Sin breaks us, God restores us. Originally when Missy and Susan wrote the transcript, Missy was strongly drawn to the passage in Isaiah 61 where the Lord speaks through the prophet to inform the people that He would give them ‘double honor’, meaning give back more than the enemy took away. That’s a foundational thought within the passage.” The event will be held at Fisher Auditorium in Wooster on February 26, 2011 with a continental breakfast being served first. The conferences will begin at 9 a.m. however the doors will open earlier at approximately 8:00 a.m. for the breakfast. “Our keynote speaker will be nationally known author, speaker and counselor, Jan Silvious,” Troyer shared. “She’s appeared at both Moody and Women of Faith events around the country. Jan is interesting, funny and a deep well of biblical knowledge. She’s known for several bestselling Christian books, one of my favorites is the compelling, yet humorous ‘Big Girls Don’t Whine’.” The event format will be a mix of teaching sessions, three with Silvious and one with Horsfall. Also Yoder’s album will be debuted at the conference with several selections being shared, as well as music from the Circle of Friends Worship Team. “Jocelyn Hamsher and I will be there to take care of ‘hosting’ the event and we will also feature some compelling drama too,” Troyer said. The conference is scheduled to conclude at 3:30 p.m. and promises to be exciting and inspirational. According to Troyer, Keynote speaker, Jan Silvious has been reaching out to women for more than twenty years, helping them to think biblically, reason clearly, live fully, and embrace an intelligent attitude toward life. As a featured speaker at Women of Faith events and other conferences, Silvious has encouraged audiences across the country and across every denomination, challenging them to grow into the women God has called them to be. In addition to her work with churches and women’s organizations in the United States, Silvious’s speaking ministry has taken her to Canada, Europe, and Central America. Troyer says, Missy Horsfall is a local and has been “an incredible addition to Circle of Friends” and Dawn Yoder, also a local is an awesome singer and worship leader. Circle of Friends is involved in many ministries. Through the generosity of various ministry partners their raised more than $30,000 in the last year for water well drilling in Haiti. They have also partnered with Barbour Publishing for various book projects geared to minister to women and also have a strong partnership with Christian Childrens’ Home of Ohio. Many other members of Circle of Friends have written books and become involved in other ministries. Troyer is amazed at how God has used what started as a handful of women to grow into a thriving ministry for Him. “We continue to encourage women with a heart for ministry to become involved with Circle of Friends,” Troyer added. “We are always looking for women who like to blog and write devotional content. We continue to develop a pool of speakers that can facilitate the Circle of Friends message of hope through Christ at events in our region.” Tickets for this event are available at Gospel Bookstore in Berlin, OH (330-893-2523), Dayspring Christian Bookstore in New Philadelphia, OH (330-343-4881), and Circle of Friends Office in Sugarcreek (330-852-0000).
