It's time again for the Dalton Historical Society calendar. Each year, the Society prints a calendar which has various pictures of the community and its citizens, as well as the 50th year graduating class. This year, the Class of 1964 is featured along with various pictures of school groups. Know anyone in the Dalton FFA in 1979-1980? the basketball homecoming court of 1980? the classes of 1948, 1967, 1968, 1950 or 1954? You may find their picture in this year's calendar also. Why not surprise them with a calendar? The calendars make good Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers. The historical society has two fundraisers during the year -- the calendar and the June strawberry festival. Cost of the calendar is $8 if picked up and $10.50 via mail. They are available at the Dalton Gazette, Ambolina's, the Dalton Hardware, the Dalton Holidays Craft Show, from any historical society member or by calling 330-828-2757. There are also calendars for some of the years 1993 through 2013 available. The back issue calendars feature houses in the Dalton area, filling stations in Dalton's past, Dalton sports teams, one-room school buildings in the area, as well as the 50th graduating classes.
