When sisters Peggy Billow and Angie Davis got frustrated trying to find well-made childrens clothing in modest styles appropriate for youngsters they took matters into their own hands and opened up a shop that caters to discriminating shoppers looking for quality products at affordable prices.
2 Cute Kids Boutique opened in 2011 and has quickly become a go-to shop for moms and grandmothers looking for styles that let kids look like kids while providing lasting quality.
Offering everything from shower gifts to crib bedding, gifts, jewelry and attire in sizes from preemie to big kids and introducing for the first time ladies sizes in styles that will get noticed from Nicoles Fashions, inside the shop. Maternity attire is also available in styles that bring out the beauty in each woman as she approaches motherhood.
When shopping for the little ones moms and grandmas will find something for themselves as well.
Sept. 27 will be the Grand Opening Event of Nicoles Fashions and will include a trunk show and reduced prices on many of the stores unique items.
Come join the staff of 2 Cute Kids Boutique and Nicoles Fashions at their downtown Dover location for this autumn event.
Main story:
When shopping for kids clothing durability is as important as style. Its difficult to find well-made clothing these days with department store knock-offs being the norm in kids fashion. 2 Cute Kids Boutique at Dover is different. Owner Peggy Billow along with her sister Angie Davis and niece Mia Davis, all of Dover realized this and created a store that offers the styles kids like with the quality parents like.
2 Cute Kids Boutique opened in March of 2011 at New Philadelphia and soon found the need to move to a location that could better accommodate the shop. The current location at 128 West Second St. at downtown Dover has allowed the shop to grow and now includes Nicoles Fashions offering high quality ladies style with labels from Tribal, Multiples, Lana Lee, Frank Lyman and Keren Hart.
We realized there was a demand for better quality ladies clothing that women simply could not find at department stores, said Angie Davis. Although we started out as a kids clothing store we now have something for moms and grandmas to choose for themselves when they come to shop.
In honor of the addition of ladies styles, 2 Cute Kids Boutique and Nicoles Fashions will hold a Grand Opening Event that will include a trunk show featuring the Frank Lyman fall and winter line on Sept. 27. Shoppers will enjoy price reductions and unprecedented service that is a mainstay of the family-owned business.
2 Cute Kids Boutique and Nicoles Fashions is a multi-level shop designed to make shopping fun. At street-level shoppers will find ladies trendy casual clothing that is suitable for everyday wear or at the office and a limited inventory of evening wear for upcoming holiday soirees and business parties. Maternity clothing in styles from Baby on Board that women actually want to wear is available for the mom-to-be as well as accessories to compliment the well-dressed womans look.
The lower level features kids clothing and accessories in boys sizes preemie to 7 and in girls sizes preemie to 16. We choose styles directly from the designers and we order in limited quantities, said Davis. Our childrens styles come from various labels like Plum Pudding, Baby Nay, E Land Kids, Peaches and Cream, Mallory May and Stephan Baby. We choose modest styles that let kids look like kids. The whole point is to be unique.
There is plenty to choose from for infants. In addition to clothing the shop carries shower gifts for mom and baby, keepsake items, blankets, crib bedding, teething toys, pacifier clips and Ohio State items for your littlest fan.
Toddlers and school-aged kids will look stunning in the array of cheerful and colorful styles that are so well-made they still look good as hand-me-downs. A lot of the clothes available today you cant pass down to younger siblings because they simply dont last, said Davis. We choose products that are so well made. You notice the difference right away.
The convenient location has plenty of on and off-street parking available and the shop likes to coordinate sales and events with their neighbors, The Grove, a family-owned gift shop. We try to promote each others businesses and will host events that make shopping fun for our downtown customers, said Davis.
