Flower sale to benefit Every Woman's House of Wayne County
Summary: The time to order summer annuals is now while you can assist the Friends and Neighbors of Every Woman’s House with their annual fundraiser that benefits women and children victimized by domestic violence in Wayne County.Friends and Neighbors of Every Woman’s House will host their 2nd Annual Flower Sale, a Purple Ribbon Event to benefit the women and children who are served by Every Woman’s House of Wayne County. The Friends and Neighbors organization provides additional funding for Every Woman's House and promotes public awareness of the women's shelter and the agency's programs.
Potted geraniums and New Guinea impatiens are available in a variety of colors for $3 per 4 ½ inch pot. Ten inch hanging baskets include ivy geraniums and fuchsias for $15 each. Impatiens are available by the flat with 36 plants per flat at $12 each.

Forms are also available at the organization’s office at Gault Liberty Center at 104 Spink St. at Wooster. “Order flowers to brighten your garden and help our community,” said Mary Wicks board member of Friends and Neighbors of Every Woman’s House. “All proceeds from this fundraiser go to Every Woman’s House, which seeks to end violence and create peace in families and the community. Its comprehensive and compassionate services include counseling, emergency shelter, victim advocacy, batterer intervention, and more.”
Flower orders and payment are due April 10. Flowers will be available for pick up at Buss Hall at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on May 18. Use the Vanover St. entrance.
Friends & Neighbors of Every Woman’s House began in 1988 to raise additional funds for Every Woman's House and promote public awareness of the women's shelter and the agency's program.
The organization hosts other fundraisers throughout the year including the Garden Tour in July, the Golf Outing in August, the year round ‘Our Family’ UPC label collection, and the Holiday House.
