Ron & Dan Nagy grew up in the body shop business, back in the days when “you used to be able to pound a fender out, put some filler in and paint it. Those days are gone, and you had better have followed the technology.” Ron Nagy is talking about the way new cars seem to get smarter, safer and more sophisticated every year. Smarter cars take smarter, better educated and trained technicians to get them back to good as new. So Ron and Dan, second generation owners of Nagy’s Collision Specialists, have committed countless hours and dollars to making sure everyone in their shop is on the cutting edge. Yes, knowing how is crucial. But knowing why is what Ron Nagy loves. “Technology is important, because we want to make it as easy for the customer as we can. Any possible way we can use technology to make it easier for the customer, we’re going to.” Take for example their latest innovations; AutoWatch, where customers can see progress on their cars via online photos, and an e-estimate program, which allows customers to upload photos of a damaged vehicle to Nagy’s web site, and receive an estimate by email. “We are very transparent, my name is on every repair,” said Nagy. “My dad always said, ‘do what’s right, and whatever happens happens.’ If you always do the right thing, you may lose some jobs, but long term, you’re always going to come out ahead.” Read more about Nagy’s Collision Center on page ??
