Keep on believing, even if you don't see your healing immediately manifest

When I first learned about healing and speaking directly to our sickness, I was excited and determined to do just that. But when I spoke to any sickness I had and didnt see it leave immediately, I was confused and disappointed. I let unbelief creep its way in and I stopped believing for the particular thing I prayed for, dismissing it as not having worked. Although we should believe for an immediate manifestation of the healing when we pray, we need to keep believing that we receive even if we dont see it immediately manifest. That has been a HUGE help for me and I believe knowing that will help others as well.
Second Corinthians 5:7 says, We walk by faith, not by sight. We need to do just as the word says – walk by faith and not by sight, instead of walking by sight, and then have faith. I have held onto that verse so many times when I have prayed for something and didnt see the instant manifestation of it. The following is an example of that.
I had these weird bumps on my right elbow for about two years. There were about three of them and I thought they looked similar to weld marks. The enemy tried to get in my head to make me think it was skin cancer, because a few people I knew at the time had skin cancer. When I would lean on my elbow it would hurt badly. My husband saw it once and said, What is that on your elbow? I dont know, I replied, but I know that I am healed and it has to leave. After about a year I got serious about it. Enough was enough! I prayed over it and kept speaking the word over it; that by His stripes I am healed and it has to leave because that is what the word says.
Well, after about a year of standing on the Word and believing they finally left. I dont know why it took so long but I am glad I didnt give up on it!
I saw an incredible healing testimony the other day. There was a woman who had started having stomach problems when she was in high school. She went to the doctor and they took blood tests but couldnt find anything wrong. Things in her body started getting worse. Her legs began to get very heavy and grow numb at times. Her stomach problems continued, and along with it her stomach began to get bigger. It looked like she was six months pregnant (and there were pictures to show it). After about ten years of living like this with no answers from the doctors she tried a chiropractor. He immediately took Xrays of her back and discovered a tumor along her spine.
After not knowing for so long she was finally glad to know what the problem was. Her church was a wonderful church that believed in healing and although she knew the scriptures and knew it was Gods will for her to be healed, she wasnt at a place yet to completely believe for her healing. So she decided to get rid of all outside distractions and saturate herself with the Word. Finally, after about a month, she got to a place where she knew she was going to go to church, have the elders anoint her with oil and pray for her (James 5:14-15) and she was going to be healed.
So she went to church, had them pray over her, and she believed she was healed. Now listen carefully – after they prayed for her she didnt feel any different. She didnt look any different. But she knew in her heart that she was healed.
One night, about two weeks later, she went to bed after having a day of not feeling good at all. But when she woke up the next morning she was completely healed! The healing had manifested in her sleep and her pregnant looking belly was gone! Her husband looked at her in the morning and said, What happened to you!? That tumor had disappeared. She lost 13 pounds and 9 inches around her stomach while she slept. They showed a before and after picture and it was incredible. Praise God she received the word and believed it by faith before she saw it come to pass physically in her body.
Maybe you have prayed for something and havent seen the manifestation of it. Dont give up! Believe that your words carry power and if you spoke it in faith then it has to come to pass. Keep on believing even when you cant see it. Remember the words of Jesus: Dont be afraid, just believe!
