Keith Castle got into the computer business almost by accident. While was working as a truck driver he became frustrated and impatient while waiting to unload his rig. It was then he knew it was time to do something else. He drove his 18 wheeler to Bryant and Stratton College at Parma in northern Ohio where the large vehicle took up much of the parking lot, walked in and announced he needed a new career. It wasn’t long before Castle had a degree and a part-time teaching job at the college when he decided to start a business of his own that would cater to the needs of residential and commercial computer users. What began in 2000 as a home-based business became KGC Computers, now with two locations in Brunswick and more recently the new Wooster location. “We have survived in this business because we’ve worn different hats,” said Castle. “Our ability to serve the various needs of both residential and commercial clients has allowed the business to grow even when the economy hasn’t.” For the residential customer KGC Computers offers a variety of computer services that include PC upgrades, computer networking, malware and spyware removal, internet security and firewalls as well as data transfer back-up and recovery. “Tablets and smart phones are gaining in popularity but the home PC is going to be around for a while,” said Castle. “Our services make it easier for people to get the best out their computers whether they use them for work or simply for entertainment.” Wooster with its business-friendly climate seemed the perfect place for KGC Computers to open a second location. “We had a client in Wooster who encouraged us to come to Wayne County and already we are getting referrals,” said Castle. “We are in business to succeed and Wooster is a great place for us to be.” Businesses of all sizes will benefit from the myriad of services offered. KGC Computers understands the urgency of same day service and can come directly to your location to tackle notebook and desktop maintenance and repairs seven days a week. Modern businesses rely on their networks and even the best systems will inevitably have problems occasionally. KCG Computers has a team of mobile experts in place that can handle traditional wired networks as well as installation, configuration and security for wireless systems. Data loss can occur from software malfunctions, viruses or unexpected errors. KGC Computers can recover your deleted, corrupt, missing, or inaccessible data quickly and securely and provide customers with unparalleled expertise and recovery capabilities. Businesses can count on KGC Computers for malware and spyware removal as well as the latest anti-virus software that protects businesses and their clients when they send emails or share files. Security, firewalls, internet installation and customized service plans are available from KGC Computers to meet the ever-changing needs of clients. Web hosting, remote support and computer forensics for the aid of law enforcement are also available. “Every day is different and there is really nothing we can’t do to help our customers. Some people think I’m my own boss,” said Castle. “My clients are my boss, every one of them.” One on one consultation can be scheduled at the customer’s convenience. Two locations make it easier than ever for KGC Computers to offer IT solutions that work for individuals, families, businesses and organizations. In Wooster they are at 139 Beall Ave. and can be reached by phone at 330-262-2026 and in Brunswick at 2967 Nationwide Parkway Ste 3and 330-460-0075.
