Lena Schlabach is a wife, mother and more recently an entrepreneur with a passion for living life to the fullest and most colorful way possible. Lena’s Amish Granola was born last July and thanks to an outpouring of community support from local individuals, businesses as well as the spiritual guidance she receives through her strong faith, Schlabach has managed to create a brand and line of products that appeals to busy families, on-the-go professionals as well as students with hectic academic and social schedules. “God gave me the insight to prepare for this,” said Schlabach. “I used my blog as well as social media to reach out to others to share cooking tips, recipes and inspiration. When I decided to start my business I wanted to keep it real, keep it down-to-earth. My granola bars were a favorite at my kids’ school and with the football players so it was only natural to develop them into what I now call GoGo Bars.” GoGo Bars come in a variety of flavors and include All-Natural Peanut Butter, Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, Cranberry, Low-fat as well as Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. “A lot of commercially-produced granola bars are too crunchy,” said Schlabach. “GoGo Bars taste good and have a texture that appeals to people. Even kids like GoGo Bars and because they have health benefits parents feel good about serving them as snacks.” Made by hand, never by machine in the heart of Ohio’s Amish country, Lena’s Amish Granola also offers delicious traditional granola in convenient 12 ounce resealable bags in a variety of flavors. Order Maple flavor, Healthy Start or the Fit and Trim Multi-Pack that includes Goji Berry 5-Grain, Acai-Almond, Mangosteen-Blueberry and Pomegranate available exclusively at her web site at www.lenasamishgranola.com. Schlabach is currently developing new products for individuals that follow Paleo and gluten-free diets. “I always look at what works and what doesn’t,” said Schlabach. “I have been blessed to be able to surround myself with emotional healthy people and successful women who have shared information and inspiration. We don’t keep secrets. We share what works in order to help one another find success. Business is about building relationships and that is why our community has so many unique and wonderful opportunities.” Schlabach believes in putting herself and her products in a position of high visibility. A series of local tastings are being offered at various businesses to share what many have already discovered to be the go-to snack for the health conscious consumer.
