Maysville Days Offer a Slew of Great Sales and Bargains

                        
The annual Maysville Days are scheduled to start Wednesday, June 22 and run through Saturday, June 25. All four days are packed full of great sales from the Maysville’s merchants and local businesses. The last day, Saturday, the community contributes to the great bargains by opening garage sales around town. For those shoppers that like to eat while they shop, on Saturday, June 25 there will be plenty of good food including free popcorn and free snacks handed out at the Maysville Country Market grocery store. The traditional veal burgers and homemade ice cream will be available. The annual chicken barbeque will also be held on Saturday, June 25 at the GreenValley School starting at 10 a.m. The chicken BBQ proceeds benefit the school. While the food is always a good draw, the biggest event of Maysville Days are the sales, sales and more sales offered by local merchants. “Businesses in Maysville get together to offer the Maysville Days as a way to show customer appreciation and to promote the great businesses around town,” said Aden Yoder, owner of the Maysville Harness shop. Each store or business will be offering their own special sales and discounts throughout Maysville Days. Just a sampling of some of the deals the businesses will have include Maysville Harness Shop which is offering a chance to win a prize with a each $20 purchase, up to 60 percent off on closeout shoes and 10 percent off equine products. Plus, a representative from Farnam will be there on Friday and Saturday to answer questions. Maysville Elevator will be offering 10 percent off certain feeds along with specials on water softener salt among others. Maysville Fabric Shop will have 10 percent off fabrics along with $1 off per yard of men’s suiting. Others offering special pricing and discounts include Maysville Enterprise with five percent off in-stock items. Schlabach Furniture which offers handcrafted oak and cherry furniture and other Amish made furniture. Premier Outdoors with 10 percent off storewide (excluding bows and crossbows) on Friday and Saturday, June 24 and 25. And, Backyard Herbs and Flowers with 10 percent off all products in an end-of-year plant sale among other specials. Plus they will be handing out free fresh herb samples while supplies last. Maysville Country Market is planning on offering sales on deli meats and cheeses throughout the sale week along with a few other surprises. The Country Market also stocks bulk foods, canning jars and bulk lids, yogurt bottles, Mountain Meadow Herbs, stainless steel butlers and the hard to find Ammens Medicated Body Powder. It will be beneficial to visit the stores and businesses throughout all four days just to make sure the best bargains have been had. While the entire four days offer great bargains, there are a few special happenings on Saturday, June 25including community-wide garage sales offering up even more bargains galore all day long. All in all, shopping the Maysville businesses during the sale week makes for a great way to escape all of the big, generic discount stores and busy shopping malls. It’s an even better way to support all of the merchants that work so hard all year long and go the extra mile to make sure their customers have what they need including four days of extra great bargains. For first time visitors, Maysville Days will be a pleasant shopping trip. Maysville is tucked neatly in between Apple Creek, Fredericksburg and Mt. Eaton. Most of the businesses participating in Maysville Days have Apple Creek addresses. For those returning shoppers, be prepared to once again check out all of the great deals at Maysville Days on June 22 through 25. Hours vary per business with most open from 8 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m. and some close at noon on Saturday.
