New Philadelphia Car Show features classic cars and family fun

                        
Summary: Summer fun isn’t over yet. The Fourth Annual Downtown New Philadelphia Car Show gets underway on Sept. 7. The New Philadelphia Business and Community Association and Classic Glass Corvette Club invite automotive enthusiasts of all ages to the Fourth Annual Downtown New Philadelphia Car Show on Sept. 7. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. on the square. Many downtown businesses are sponsoring awards for the juried show including Murphy’s restoration for Best of Show. JD Byrider, Wallick’s Hairstyling and Walton Auto Glass are sponsoring five Diamond Awards. Twenty Gold awards will be presented thanks to the generous sponsorship of Broadway Brewhouse, Chase Bank, Coffman Optical, Daily Grind, Diamond Window Tint, DJ’s Custom Car Tunes, First Federal Community Bank, First Stop Signs, Gavin’s on the Square, Hot Road Motors, House of Stones, Jamie Hicks Automotive Performance, JD Byrider, Martin’s Mobile Glass, Miller’s Clothing, Pit Stop Creamery, TC Auto Repair, Tusc Valley Financial and the Wine Rack. The Larry Elliot Memorial Award will be presented and the first 100 cars to register will receive a dash plaque. Registration is $10 per vehicle. Step back to the 1950’s with plenty of food and fun for the everyone at the event that is fast becoming a family favorite as summer comes to an end. The premiere car show DJ, Tom “Spikeman” Spiker will be on hand spinning classic favorites and a variety of vendors will provide food and beverages for the enjoyment of car enthusiasts as well as those coming to enjoy all that downtown New Philadelphia has to offer. Car show participants will have the opportunity to win door prizes like a 40-inch widescreen television, girls or boys bicycle and everyone is eligible to win the 50/50 drawing with the purchase of a ticket.
